Peterborough man jailed after officers find £18k cash stash and drugs

A drug dealer from Peterborough has been jailed after drugs and around £18,000 in cash was found in his home.

35-year-old James Donovan was found with a bag of drugs on him when officers visited his flat in August 2025.

They also found class A drugs and cash hidden under kitchen cabinets.

Donovan pleaded guilty to:

  • four counts of possession with intent to supply a class A drug, including cocaine, heroin, and MDMA
  • one count of possession with intent to supply cannabis and amphetamine
  • possession with intent to supply diazepam
  • possession of criminal property

He was sentenced to four years and four months in prison.

Detective Constable Nik Loizou, who investigated said: “Donovan was found in possession of a considerable quantity of drugs and cash and will now spend a significant time behind bars.

"We will continue to identify those responsible for supplying these harmful substances and ensuring they are brought before the courts.”
