A 45-year-old man from March has been arrested today on suspicion of assisting an offender in the ongoing investigation into the murder of 54-year-old Julie Buckley.

This arrest follows the earlier detentions of a 49-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, both from Christchurch. They were arrested yesterday on suspicion of assisting an offender but have been released on bail.

Karl Hutchings, 47, from Hill, Christchurch, was charged with murder on 16 February. He is due to appear at Cambridge Crown Court tomorrow, on 19 February.

Police are treating Julie Buckley’s disappearance, reported in late January, as a murder investigation. Evidence suggests she may have come to serious harm.

Julie, from Christchurch, has not been seen since late January, and although police initially hoped to find her alive, they now believe she may be deceased.

Police searches are ongoing, and detectives have appealed for anyone with information on Julie’s whereabouts or any sightings of her in recent weeks to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the investigation team via the dedicated portal at link or call 101 and quote Operation Dragonfish.
