Cambridgeshire fire service wins national menopause support award
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service has been named Public Sector Menopause Friendly Employer of the Year
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service has won the Menopause Friendly Accredited Employer of the Year Award for the public sector.
The award was announced on September 16th at the Menopause and Menstruation Friendly Employer Awards, organised by Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace.
More than three hundred delegates attended events in London, Nottingham and Liverpool.
The judges said winners had shown clear evidence of meaningful, lasting changes for colleagues.
The award recognises organisations which have made menopause awareness, education and support part of their workplace culture.
Hayley Douglas, the service’s Menopause Champion, said the win was “an incredible moment”.
She said awareness training had helped colleagues feel more comfortable having open conversations and confident they would be supported.
