A 56-year-old man from Walton has been seriously injured in a fail-to-stop collision in Peterborough.

Emergency services say they were called to the mini-roundabout at the junction of Welland Road and Dogsthorpe Road yesterday afternoon (8th December).

Officers say a blue Seat Leon failed to stop after the motorcyclist was hit.

He was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with serious injuries.

Detective Constable Alex Bond said: “I am appealing to the driver involved in this collision to come forward.

“I would also like to hear from any who saw the collision or has dashcam or CCTV footage of it, to get in touch.”

Anyone with information is being asked call 101 or make a report on the force's website, quoting ‘Operation Sudbury’.
