An 18-year-old boy has been jailed after a dangerous police chase ended with a car crashing into a house in Hardwick.
Fabio Sanches-Kuiper sped off when officers spotted his uninsured Ford Focus and crashed on Ashmead Drive on 10th November.
He was sentenced on Wednesday (12th November) at Peterborough Magistrates' Court.
He’s been jailed for one year and banned from driving for two years after pleading guilty to failing to stop, dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving while disqualified.
A Cambridgeshire police spokesperson said, "Police were on patrol on the evening of 10 November when they spotted a Ford Focus parked up with multiple people inside with no insurance or tax.
"As officers approached, the driver, Fabio Sanches-Kuiper sped off, leading police on a pursuit through built up estates, across a park and a pedestrian footpath.
"The car eventually lost control on a bend, colliding with the side of a house and a parked car in Ashmead Drive.
"Sanches-Kuiper, of Dovecote Avenue, Great Cambourne, ran from the vehicle along with others, leaving the car in gear.
"He fell while attempting to flee and was arrested at the scene. Further checks revealed he was already disqualified from driving following a previous pursuit in July."
