A man who drove at police officers in Sunrise Meadow and fled has been jailed for a number of offences.

Carl Scarrow, 44, has been jailed for 14 months and banned from driving for five and a half years.

That's after he accelerated officers, causing one to jump out of the way.

Cambridge Crown Court heard how Officers spotted Scarrow, who was wanted for driving offences, in a black Kia at Sunrise Meadow caravan park, off Station Road, near Bluntisham, on 2 March.

Officers approached him on foot after he'd reversed into a fence.

Instead of stopping, Scarrow drove at them and fled.

He was arrested the next day at his home in Sunrise Meadow.

He pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

PC Chester Lewis, who investigated, said: “What Scarrow did was dangerous and stupid and could have left the officer with serious injuries.”
