Baby found in life-threatening condition in March dies as investigations continue
A post-mortem examination is set to be carried out to determine the cause of death.
A baby boy has died following an incident in March, Cambridgeshire earlier this month.
The child, who was initially reported to be in a life-threatening condition, passed away on Thursday, 8th January. A post-mortem examination is set to be carried out to determine the cause of death.
Emergency services were called to St John’s Chase at around 11am on Saturday, 3rd January, after medics treated the baby at the scene. He was transported to hospital, but his condition did not improve.
A 25-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man, both from March, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and possession of Class B/C drugs.
Both have since been released on police bail and are due to return to police custody on 2nd April 2026 as investigations continue.
