Emergency services dealing with mutli-vehicle collision off A1(M)
Cambridgeshire Police say that five cars were involved in the crash
Emergency services across Cambridgeshire are dealing with a multi-vehicle collision just off the A1(M).
Officers from Cambridgeshire Police confirmed that they had been alerted to an incident taking place on the A605 Elton bypass at around 12:45pm on Monday (July 14th).
Emergency services were soon notified of the incident, and have since gone to the scene to attend to those wounded.
In a statement, Cambridgeshire Police confirmed they had closed the A605 in both directions while investigations take place.
Initial investigations appear to show that five cars were involved in the crash, but currently further information is unavailable.
Investigations are now underway, albeit at an early stage while forensic investigations and emergency services continue to deal with the collision.
Motorists are now being asked to avoid the area if at all possible, while police continue their enquiries.
