38-year-old jailed after throwing drugs out of window in Peterborough
Man sentenced for possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin
A 38-year-old man has been sentenced to two years and four months in prison after admitting to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin in Peterborough.
Jackson Kyeremeh was spotted carrying out a suspected drug deal by police officers in Woodston, Peterborough, on 16th June.
Kyeremeh, who lived on Whinfell Close, Eaton Socon, St Neots, attempted to flee the officers but dropped 15 wraps of crack cocaine and four wraps of heroin during his escape.
Drugs thrown from window
The following day, officers traced Kyeremeh to his partner’s home after seeing his car parked outside.
As police approached, they observed Kyeremeh throwing another package of drugs from a first-floor rear window.
He was arrested and appeared at Peterborough Crown Court on Thursday, 18th December, where he changed his plea to guilty and was jailed.
Det Sgt Jacob Tustin-Reeves said: “Kyeremeh initially denied being concerned in supplying these class A drugs but changed his plea in the face of the overwhelming evidence.
Drug addictions ruin lives, as well as being associated with other crimes such as violence and anti-social behaviour.
We will continue to do all we can to identify those involved in supplying these substances and bring them before the courts.”
