Wychavon initiative launched to provide free period products in public toilets

A trail initiative has been launched in Wychavon providing free, quality period products in public toilets across the district.

In partnership with the charity Hey Girls, this initiative aims to wipe out period poverty.

Period poverty, the inability to afford or access menstrual products.

Cllr Beverley Hardman, Executive Board Member for Environment at Wychavon said “It’s about promoting a positive message, promoting a supportive environment, and empowering women while tackling the stigma associated with periods.”
