It's reported that community leaders in Droitwich are calling out the re-appearance of graffiti, which keeps popping-up along an underpass.

One of the messages writes: "Clean it up again".

National Highways owns the land resided by the underpass, who tell us the removal of one incident of graffiti costs up to £10,000.

'Costs significant time and money'

Ian Doust, Midlands Development Manager for National Highways said: “The removal of graffiti costs National Highways significant time and money – resources which could be better spent on improving drivers’ journeys on motorways and major A roads.

“We know that people don’t want to see their communities blighted by vandalism and we will remove offensive graffiti within 24 hours. When graffiti is deemed non-offensive, it is dealt with under routine maintenance cycles and can therefore take longer to address.

“We support police and the local authority in their efforts to stamp out these acts of vandalism and we thank the councillor for bringing this latest incident to our attention.”
