Worcestershire careers service reminding students getting exam results to prioritise their wellbeing
It's as thousands of pupils across both counties get their A-Level results along with their BTECs and T-Level ones today (13 August)
A Worcestershire support service for young people has highlighted to pupils the importance of knowing there's always a way forward with their employment and education regardless of what results they get today (13 August).
Like across the country, thousands in both counties will be waking up this morning and receiving their A-Level, BTECs and T-Level grades.
The University of Worcester said it was bracing for a "potentially record-breaking" clearing day, after it received more than 1,000 calls to its clearing hotline last year.
Careers Worcestershire, which helps 16-24 year-olds with their studies and career pathways, is reminding pupils the importance of reaching out for support if they need it, and to look after themselves.
Their careers and employment lead, Jennie Ellis, said: "A lot of young people might find they're feeling more anxious or more worried or even overwhelmed during results day, it's perfectly normal to feel like that, it just shows that you're really invested in your future.
"It's really important to remember that no matter what your grades are, there's always a way forward, so if university isn't the right fit for you when you've got your A-level results, there's plenty of other routes from apprenticeships to college courses, jobs, and even study programmes.
"So success isn't just about exam results, it's about finding the right path for you."
