A Worcestershire based car manufacturer says new US tariffs could impact them in ways such as supply chain disruption.

President Donald Trump has brought in taxes on imports as part of an aim to get companies to produce goods in the US.

Toby Blythe is the chief marketing officer for the Morgan Motor Company in Malvern, he says it could cause issues in a few ways.

"We see that potentially affecting things ultimately in an increase in cost that will need to be paid," he said.

"As a business, we are looking at ways that we could help to reduce the impact of that cost to our customers and to our US based businesses.

"It is is concerning, it may well have an impact on us in ways that we can't see yet such as supply chain disruption and so on.

"The business is able to work and survive without significant volumes going to the US if necessary, we are small and adaptable and we're a nimble business that can look to fulfil volumes elsewhere in other growth markets across Europe."
