Detectives have released images of three suspects following a break-in at a Tesco petrol station in Worcester.

It happened at around 2:10am on Monday 19th October, at the petrol station on Mill Wood Drive.

Police say three suspects wearing dark clothing forced entry into the store.

It is believed one of the suspects used an angle grinder to cut through a metal security shutter protecting the front entrance, while another used a fire extinguisher to smash a lower panel of the door.

The three then entered the store and used an angle grinder to cut open cash boxes, before leaving the area with them.

One of the images released shows a suspect carrying the angle grinder, which police believe was taken as the suspects left the scene.

How the suspects got away

Police believe the suspects left the store on foot, crossing a small fence onto Vetch Field Avenue before making their way to Mill Wood Drive.

They are then thought to have ridden off on electric bikes or electric motorbikes, which travelled along Mill Wood Drive shortly after the break-in.

What police are saying

Detective Sergeant Andrew Todd said: "We're releasing these images in the hope that they jog someone's memory about what they saw in the area during the early hours of Monday morning."

He said: "We appreciate the suspects' faces are not visible and that they are unlikely to be identifiable from the images alone. However, the photographs show a number of distinctive features, including an angle grinder being carried from the scene, as well as the clothing worn by the suspects."

DS Todd added: "We're keen to hear from anyone who may have seen these people before or after the burglary. I'd particularly ask anyone with dashcam footage, CCTV, doorbell footage or other security camera recordings from the Mill Wood Drive and Vetch Field Avenue areas to check them carefully."

He said: "Any information, no matter how small it may seem, could prove vital to our enquiries and I would urge anyone who thinks they can help to get in touch."
