Worcester man is banned from shops following release from prison

A Worcester man who is already serving a prison sentence for robbery has been handed a three-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) that would be effective upon his release.
Ben Parkinson, 37, of Swallowfields, Worcester, was sentenced to a total of four years and eight months for two counts of robbery and one count of theft from shop on Thursday 2 July at Worcester Crown Court.
Parkinson was convicted of using threatening / abusive / insulting words / behaviour with intent to cause fear of / or provoke unlawful violence when he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Tuesday 14 July.
He was sentenced to 25 weeks to run concurrent to his existing term, ordered to pay compensation of £75 and handed the CBO which lasts until 14 July 2029.
Parkinson’s earliest opportunity for release would be November 2027, at which point the CBO would be in effect for around 20 months.
The CBO prohibits him from entering Morrisons Daily in Warndon, Worcester, Tesco on Millwood Drive in Worcester and Co-op on Ambleside Drive in Worcester.
