Two women have been injured, one critically, following a three vehicle collision in Worcestershire this afternoon (January 21).

West Midlands Ambulance Service said they were called to Hadley Lane in Ombersley at 12.39pm after police reported a serious road traffic collision.

Two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a specialist paramedic, and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended the scene.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “Crews arrived to find the driver of one car, a woman, in a critical condition.

"The team of medics worked quickly to administer advanced trauma care to her before she was conveyed on blue lights and sirens to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further emergency care.”

“The driver of a second car, a woman, and a young child were also assessed by ambulance staff.

"The woman was given treatment for injuries not thought to be serious.

"The child was uninjured, but both patients were conveyed to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further checks.”
