Woman found seriously injured in Rubery alleyway
Police have launched an investigation into a suspected attack early this morning
West Mercia Police have launched an investigation after a woman in her 40s was seriously injured in an attack in Rubery near Birmingham.
The incident occurred at around 2.10am this morning (Saturday 11th April 2026) in an alleyway on Graham Crescent, when she was approached from behind and hit on the head by an unknown man.
Detectives have confirmed the victim sustained severe facial injuries, but they're not considered to be life-threatening.
The alleged attacker is reported to have been wearing dark clothing and possibly had his face covered.
CCTV footage shows several people were around the area at the time, and officers believe they might have seen the suspect.
Detectives are urging anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour to come forward.
