Woman dies in two-car crash in Stoke Edith

A woman has died following a crash involving two cars in Stoke Edith, Herefordshire.
The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon on Perton Lane.
Emergency services, including three ambulances, a paramedic officer, a BASICS doctor, and a helicopter from the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, responded to the scene after receiving a call at 2.34pm.
A spokesperson from West Midlands Ambulance Service said that despite being freed from the first car with assistance from the fire service, the woman sustained severe injuries.
They added: “On arrival, crews discovered two cars that had been involved in the collision and three patients.
“A woman, from the first car, was freed with the help of fire service colleagues and found to have suffered serious injuries.
“Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite their best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene.
“A man and woman, from the second car, were treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Hereford County Hospital by land ambulance.”
