Cyclist tragically dies after collision with HGV
Police are appealing for witnesses after a tragic fatal collision occurred in Bromsgrove on Tuesday, 22nd September.
The incident involved an HGV and a cyclist at the A38 junction with New Road at around 3.40pm.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, the cyclist, a man in his 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
She has been released under investigation but continues to assist officers with their enquiries.
Investigators are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the HGV or cyclist in the area prior to the accident.
Additionally, drivers in the area at that time who may have dashcam footage are urged to get in touch.
