Witnesses sought after man dies in Bewdley car crash

Police appeal for information following fatal collision on Ribblesford Road

Police are seeking witnesses after a man in his 20s died following a car crash in Bewdley this morning, Friday 17th July.

Emergency services were called to Ribblesford Road (B4194) at approximately 10.25am to attend to a collision between two vehicles.

Despite their best efforts, the young man died at the scene.

His family has been informed.

The other driver, a man in his 40s, sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital.

PC Chris Woolman from West Mercia Police expressed condolences to the families affected by the tragic incident.

He is urging witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward.

“We would urge anyone who saw either vehicle, a red Vauxhall Astra which was travelling towards Stourport and a white Hilux 4x4 pick up which was travelling towards Bewdley to please contact us,” PC Woolman said.

“We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage to help us support our investigation into the collision.”
