Two arrests in relation to cannabis grow warrant
It happened this morning
Two men have been arrested and a warrant executed, in relation to a cannabis grow at a property in St John’s, Worcester, this morning (Monday 7 September).
Officers from the Worcester Safer Neighbourhood Teams were on a planned operation, after intelligence around a suspected grow, at a property on Bromyard Terrace.
A car linked to the op was spotted and pulled over by police on Tybridge Street. Two men in the car were arrested, on suspicion of cannabis production and taken into custody.
When the warrant was executed, officers found around 100 cannabis plants across four rooms. They will be seized and destroyed and an investigation has opened.
Safer Neighbourhood Inspector for Worcester, Dave Wise, said: “Acting upon intelligence, we have today executed a warrant, at an address on Bromyard Terrace, where a cannabis grow was discovered.
“Two men in a car linked to the address were also stopped and arrested by the team on Tybridge Street and taken into custody. We understand this stop caused some disruption to the morning rush hour and would like to thank members of the public for their patience.
“We will always act where appropriate on concerns around the supply of illegal drugs in our communities. Anyone who suspects drug dealing in their area should report it to us via 101 or online via Report a crime | West Mercia Police”
