Two arrested in connection with attempted murder
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing on Plymouth Road in Redditch this evening. (5 September)
Two me have been arrested by West Mercia Police following a stabbing on Plymouth Road in Redditch this evening. (5 September) The men, aged 22 and 35, are currently in custody as enquiries continue.
The incident occurred at around 5.45pm. A man, in his thirties, has been taken to hospital with stab wounds that are not thought to be life threatening.
Detective Inspector Edward Jones said: “We have apprehended two suspects in this case and enquiries are ongoing. The public can expect to see an increased police presence in the area as we carry out our investigation."
“We understand, this may be concerning for local residents but we would like to provide reassurance that we are not, at this stage, looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.”
