Three arrests after knifepoint robbery in Rubery

Officers say the suspects stole cash, vapes and the till from Rubery Express store on New Road

Three men have been arrested after a knifepoint robbery at a convenience store in Rubery yesterday (February 19th).

Police say shortly before 4am yesterday, three men who were armed with a machete entered the Rubery Express store on New Road and stole cash, vapes and the till.

West Mercia Police carried out extensive enquiries and cross border work with officers at West Midlands Police and three men from the Birmingham Area were arrested yesterday evening.

Following the arrests a machete was recovered.

The three men, aged 19, 22 and 26 remain in police custody while the investigation continues.

Investigating Officers initially believed four people were involved but are now satisfied it was three.
