Team have worked hard for play-off final spot, says Worcester Wolves men's head coach
Worcester Wolves face Solent Kestrels today (26 April) in the National Basketball League Division One play-off final
Worcester Wolves' men's team head coach has said getting to today's (26 April) National Basketball League (NBL) Division One play-off final has been a full club effort.
The side are set to face Solent Kestrels in the match after beating London Stars in the quarter-final stage and Manchester Magic last time out in the semi-finals.
Wolves finished top of Pool A in the regular season, going undefeated at home and winning 17 games and losing five overall, while Kestrels took first place in Pool B.
Head coach Dean Blake has said he's been reminding his players to just keep doing what they've been doing ahead of it, and he's looking forward to the occasion.
"It's a great achievement and obviously it'll be a great moment, we've worked hard for this and it's been years in the making really," he said.
"We're at the top of the NBL kind of structure and we started off in the bottom in 2021, so we've worked our way up and even last season wasn't the best season.
"So to turn things around this year it's been amazing and everyone's worked really hard to be where we are, it's not just the players, it's the whole club and everyone around it."
The game is scheduled to get underway at the National Basketball Performance Centre (NBPC) in Manchester at 4pm.
