Station security guard jailed for sexually assaulting 14-year-old girl
He attacked the teenager at Worcester Shrub Hill railway station
A security guard has been jailed after sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl while on duty at a railway station in Worcestershire.
Aamar Mohammed, 35, of Shireland Road in Sandwell, was sentenced to three years and eight months in prison at Worcester Crown Court on 12th January 2026.
He was also given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will remain on the sex offenders register for life.
Mohammed was convicted of two counts of sexual assault following a British Transport Police (BTP) investigation.
The incident at Worcester Shrub Hill
On 14th November 2021, Mohammed approached the teenage girl at Worcester Shrub Hill railway station while wearing a high-visibility vest.
He asked about her travel plans before walking her to the train platform and later inviting her into an office.
Once inside, Mohammed turned off the lights and forced himself on the girl.
She suffered bruising during the attack but managed to escape to board her train.
Mohammed later emerged from the office and waved at the train as it departed.
The girl reported the assault to her family, who contacted police. Mohammed was arrested that evening as an investigation began.
How the case unfolded
Following an extensive investigation led by BTP detectives, multiple charges were brought against Mohammed, and the victim received specialist support throughout.
In March 2023, Mohammed failed to appear at a court hearing and was rearrested at his home address.
Statements from authorities
BTP Detective Constable Tim Friend said: “Aamar Mohammed used his trusted position as a station security guard to groom a teenage girl and subject her to a deplorable sexual assault.
“His attack was so forceful that it left the victim with physical injuries, and will no doubt have a lasting impact on her psychologically.
“It is down to her bravery in reporting him to police, and determination to stick with the process as it progressed through the courts, that we have been able to bring a truly vile man to justice.
“We will stop at nothing to ensure sexual predators like Mohammed are removed from our communities and put behind bars where they belong.”
