Second man arrested in connection with violent disorder at pub in Evesham
A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.
A second man has been arrested in connection with a violent disorder at a pub in Evesham.
The arrest relates to an incident at the Gardeners Arms pub on the evening of Friday 27 June during which an man was assaulted.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.
He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
A 51-year-old man was also arrested on 1 July in connection with the same incident.
He has also been released on bail pending further enquires.
Sergeant Duncan Eades, from Evesham Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “These arrests demonstrate our commitment to tackling violence and disorder in our communities. We will continue to pursue those suspected of being involved and ensure that incidents of this nature are thoroughly investigated.
“We are working closely with local licensed premises as part of ongoing efforts to identify and help ban individuals responsible for antisocial behaviour and disorder. By working in partnership with pubs, clubs and other businesses, we aim to make Evesham’s night-time economy a safer place for everyone to enjoy.”
