Second arrest after stabbing in Stourport

West Mercia Police have arrested a second boy on suspicion of assault after an incident in Stourport on Saturday evening

A second boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident in Stourport on Saturday evening (September 6).

The incident happened around 9pm in Severn Meadows when a 17-year-old boy received stab wounds that are not thought to be life threatening or life changing.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is now on bail.

Detective Constable Dan Pickford from West Mercia Police said: “Following our initial enquiries into the incident in Stourport on Saturday, we have arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of assault.

“We are no longer looking for any other suspects, but we do continue to appeal to members of the public who saw what happened or for anyone with information that would help with our enquiries, to please get in touch”.
