Searches are underway for a missing man who is believed to have entered the River Avon in Pershore.

Belongings were found at the riverside near to Pershore Leisure Centre on Sunday (January 4).

West Mercia Police say following enquiries the owner of the items was identified and they ebelive he may have entered the water.

Officers and specialist search teams remain the area.
