A man believed to be in his 60s has died after what police suspect was a medical episode in Worcester.

Officers say they're looking to identify him and trace his relatives.

He was found on a bench near Worcester Canoe Club by an off-duty officer at 7:45am on Wednesday 11 March.

He was attended by medical staff but died later in hospital.

The man's death is not being treated as suspicious.

He was described as being 5’7” tall, of slightly larger build, with blue eyes, grey receding hair, a short-to-medium length grey beard and a grey/brown moustache.

He was found with a pair of walking sticks.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Todd said: “This is an extremely sad set of circumstances, and we understand it will be difficult for a family member to find out their loved one has passed away.

“The man was not carrying ID, and unfortunately all our efforts to identify him so far have been unsuccessful.
