West Mercia Police are appealing for information following an arson in Droitwich earlier this morning (Wednesday 22 October).

Officers were called to Farmers Way around 7.40am to a report of a fire at a property.

One man was inside the address at the time and has attended hospital due to potential smoke inhalation but suffered no other injuries.

Police are treating the fire as arson with intent to endanger life and are carrying out enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Laura Olczak from CID said: “Officers will be in the local area today as we carry out house-to-house checks and gather available CCTV and ring-doorbell footage.

“We would urge anyone with any information about the incident or witnessed anything suspicious, to please get in contact.

"If your car was parked nearby, please check for dashcam footage of anyone walking in the area at the time of the incident. Even something that seems small could really help in our investigation.”
