Police are appealing for information after an armed robbery in Wychbold this morning (Monday 20 April 2026).

Around 9.40am, three men wearing balaclavas entered Wychbold Post Office on Worcester Road.

The offenders threatened the victim with a knife and demanded access to the safe.

The group left the scene with cash taken from the safe, and the victim sustained injuries to his head and hand.

Detective Sergeant Lance Pritchard said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries following this serious incident and are urging anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time to come forward.

“In particular, we would like to hear from anyone who saw the three men entering or leaving the post office, or anyone who may have dash cam or CCTV footage from Worcester Road around 9.40am. Even the smallest detail could be vital to our investigation and identify those responsible.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact DS Pritchard by emailing [email protected]

Alternatively, information can be shared anonymously with the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
