Officers are urging a man who was captured on CCTV being assaulted in Worcester to come forward following the incident last Thursday.

Between 7am and 7.15am, the victim was seen walking along Cecil Road when another individual approached and pushed him several times.

The victim left the area after the assault and has not contacted police to report the incident.

The man is described as white and was wearing a black jacket, black trousers, a black beanie hat, and carrying a black backpack during the incident.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Todd said: “We have seen from CCTV that a man was assaulted on Cecil Road last Thursday and we are appealing for the victim to come forward.

“I must stress that he is in no trouble with the police and we just want to check he is ok after the assault."

“We would like to give him the opportunity to contact us before we consider releasing any CCTV images of him.”
