Police appeal after multiple reports of criminal damage in Droitwich

Officers say damage was caused to properties and vehicles

Police are appealing for witnesses after multiple reports of criminal damage in Droitwich in the early hours of Saturday morning (7 February).

According to police damage was caused to properties on Camp Hill, Lower Meadow, Shepherds Way, King Kebab Burger on Ombersley Street, Robert Ellin Opticians on Ombersley Street East and Match Foster Care on Ombersley Street West.

Vehicles were also damaged on Shepherds Way, Ombersley Street East, Waitrose car park, Oakham Place, Covercroft Day Centre on Colman Road, Trimnel Green and Burrish Street.

Two men, aged 18 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and have been released on bail.

Safer Neighbourhood Team Inspector Lisa Hornberger said: “We appreciate the concern this amount of damage in the town will have brought to the community and we are appealing for members of the public to check doorbell and CCTV footage to see if they captured any of the incidents on Saturday morning.

“We have arrested two men on suspicion of causing the damage, and they are now on bail whilst our enquiries continue”.
