Police appeal after assault in Ombersley

Police are appealing for information after an assault in Ombersley on Saturday (March 14),

The incident occurred around 2.30pm on Appletree Walk when a man reportedly entered a home and assaulted the occupant before leaving the area.

The suspect is described as a white male, of stocky build, in his early 30s, with short dark hair and stubble.

Police say he was wearing a dark long-sleeved top, dark blue jeans, black boots, and black gloves.

Detective Sergeant Matthew Robinson said, "We understand that an incident of this nature will bring concern to the local community and following initial enquiries we believe this to be an isolated incident with no wider risk to members of the public."

"You will see an increased police presence in the area whilst we continue our investigation."

"We are appealing for anyone who has any information that would identify the man involved to please contact us."
