Man found with life-threatening injuries at Perry Wood Nature Reserve

Police respond to welfare concern near Medway Road

Emergency services have been called to Perry Wood Nature Reserve, near Medway Road, earlier today following concerns for the welfare of a man.

Upon arrival, officers found the man with life-threatening injuries and immediately began CPR until the arrival of ambulance services.

The man has been transferred to the hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said in a statement: “We were called at 10.31am to an incident on Medway Road in Worcester.

"One ambulance, a paramedic officer, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic and the Midlands Air Ambulance attended the scene.

"Upon arrival we found a man with life threatening injuries in a critical condition.

"Ambulance staff administered advanced life support and advanced trauma care to him at the scene which continued en route to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was conveyed for further treatment.”

Authorities have stated that the incident is not being treated as suspicious, and there is no belief of any third-party involvement at this time.
