A pedestrian's died in a collision involving a car in Worcester.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Droitwich Road, near to the Bull Inn, in Fernhill Heath, at 5.50pm yesterday and sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car from Strensham to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to discover a woman, the pedestrian, in a critical condition and already receiving basic life support from police colleagues.

“Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts it became apparent nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene."
