New partnership aims to boost student skills and job prospects
HoW College and Worcester Bosch collaborate for career development
Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW) has teamed up with Worcester Bosch Group in a new strategic partnership aimed at improving skills and creating career opportunities for students.
The collaboration, set to last for three years, seeks to enhance the student experience by offering insights into career pathways within Worcester Bosch Group and developing mutual projects that benefit both organisations.
Key initiatives include supporting corporate social responsibility efforts, curriculum development, skill-sharing activities, and industry updates.
Worcester Bosch Group plans to actively participate in the college's bi-annual employer forum, contributing to curriculum development, while also providing guest lectures and skill sessions to enrich academic content.
Work placements will further provide students with real-world experience, integrating industry trends through joint efforts such as site visits and work-shadowing opportunities.
Mo Horan, Vice Principal of Apprenticeships, Partnerships & Skills at HoW College, emphasised the importance of this partnership in developing the next generation within the engineering and business support sectors.
Horan said: “The partnership with Worcester Bosch Group is such a great opportunity to help inspire and develop the next generation of talent within the engineering and business support sectors. Through work placements, guest lectures, and collaborative curriculum support, we’re aiming to provide students with the skills, knowledge, and career opportunities they need to succeed.”

Steve Munn, Director of Service Operations at Worcester Bosch Group, highlighted the significance of preparing students for employment, acknowledging the challenges faced by young people entering the job market.
Munn commented: “We understand that leaving education and securing your first job can be quite daunting for many young people. That is why we are delighted to be partnering with HoW College to help their students prepare for employment.”
