Motorcyclist seriously injured after collision involving lorry in Leominster

A man has been airlifted to hospital with potentially life threatening injuries after his motorbike was involved in a crash with a lorry in Leominster.

Emergency services were called to Southern Avenue just after 8am this morning after a report of a collision between a motorcycle and a stationary lorry.

The rider of the motorbike, a man in his 50s, was found to have suffered serious and potentially life-threatening injuries.

West Midlands Ambulance service said the man was given treatment at the scene before being taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

West Mercia Police are appealing for any witnesses who saw the motorcycle in the moments before the collision, or the collision itself to contact them.
