A Worcestershire Post Office has been robbed, after a man threatened a staff member with what's thought to be a handgun.

Cash was stolen from the branch in the Cottage Stores on the A443 in Holt Heath at around 9.40am on Tuesday (20th May).

A man involved is described as being dressed all in black, with black paint on his face.

West Mercia Police say they're now working to trace the man and a car seen in the area at the time of the incident.

Detective Constable Elle May from Worcester CID said: “Although the incident caused distress to the victim, thankfully, no one was injured.

“We are keen to identify a grey Renault Clio which was seen on the corner of School Lane at the time of the incident.

“We are asking anyone who was driving along the road with a dashcam to review the footage and get in touch if they have any information which could help us.

“Please contact me on [email protected] or by phone on 07967 879480.”
