Man dies in Ombersley Way crash in Droitwich

A man has died in a crash in Droitwich.

Emergency services were called to the road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle yesterday afternoon (17/8).

The Trust’s control room received several 999 calls reporting the collision on Ombersley Way, Droitwich at around 3.20pm.

West Midlands Ambulance Service responded two ambulances, three paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma team and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham to the incident.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “Crews arrived to find the motorcyclist, a man, in a critical condition being given CPR by police officers.

"The team quickly took over resuscitation efforts and commenced advanced life support.

"Sadly, the man couldn’t be saved, and he was confirmed dead on scene a short time later.

“Our thoughts are with the patient’s family and friends at this very sad time.”
