Man dies in car crash in Herefordshire

Two others hospitalised following late-night incident

A man in his 60s has died following a two-car collision on Tillington Road in the Burghill area of Herefordshire.

The incident occurred late on Monday night, prompting an emergency response from West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Mercia Police.

Around 11.30pm a black Toyota Corolla and a silver Hyundai i20 were involved in a collision on Tillington Road.

The driver of the Hyundai, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts by emergency services.

West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash.

They are particularly interested in dashcam footage that could provide vital information.

According to a spokesperson from West Midlands Ambulance Service, three individuals were involved in the crash.

The driver of one of the cars sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second man, a passenger in one of the cars, was critically injured and transported to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further medical attention.

The driver of the second car was treated for injuries that were not deemed serious and was taken to Hereford County Hospital for evaluation.
