Man dies and woman critically injured after Worcester motorbike crash

A man has died and a woman is in a critical condition following a collision between a car and a motorbike in Worcester.

The crash occurred last night, with West Midlands Ambulance Service receiving a call at 5.47pm to Tunnel Hill in Worcester.

Responders included two ambulances, paramedic officers, the Midlands Air Ambulance, the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, and a BASICS emergency doctor.

According to a spokeswoman from West Midlands Ambulance Service, the man, who was riding the motorbike, was in a critical condition when crews arrived.

He was receiving basic life support from a bystander before professionals took over.

Despite their best efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman, who was a passenger on the motorbike, was found to be in a life-threatening condition.

She received specialist trauma care before being transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital under emergency conditions.
