A man has died and two people have been taken to hospital after a crash in Worcestershire.

Emergency services were called to Cotheridge yesterday evening - two motorbikes and a car were involved.

Another man suffered serious injuries - and a woman sustained minor injuries.

The West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed: "One man has died and a man and woman have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision involving two motorbikes and a car in Cotheridge, Worcester last night.

"West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 6.38pm to Bromyard Road and sent three ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car from Strensham to the scene."

A spokeswoman said: “On arrival crews found an off-duty paramedic performing CPR on a man, one of the motorcyclists, who was in a critical condition.

“Crews immediately began administering advanced life support. Sadly, despite best efforts, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.

“A woman, the driver of the car, was assessed for minor injuries and conveyed to Worcester Royal Hospital under emergency driving conditions, as a precaution”.
