Man dies after serious assault at Leominster pub

A 33-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm has been released on bail

Police say a man has died one week after a serious assault at a Leominster pub.

The 63-year-old had been in a critical condition since the incident at the Dukes Head pub in Corn Square last Tuesday (April 8).

Investigations are continuing - a 33-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm has been released on bail.

Detective Sergeant Shelley Aplin said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts remain with the family of the man who has died.

“We’re working hard to understand the circumstances that led to the man’s death and our investigation is ongoing.

“The 33-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm has been released on bail while our enquiries continue.”
