Man dies after collision on A4111 in Herefordshire
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward
A man has died after a collision on the A4111 in Herefordshire.
Emergency Services were called to a collision involving a lorry and a KTM 890 Duke motorbike on the A4111 near Kington, at around 8:45am on Sunday (9 August).
Despite the efforts of emergency services, the motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the man was travelling with a group of around five other motorcyclists and they would like to hear from anyone who saw the group travelling together in the moments before the collision.
A 45-year-old man was arrested at the scene but has since bee released and is assisting police fully with their enquiries.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Emergency crews arrived to find a serious collision involving a motorcycle and an HGV.
“The motorcyclist, a man, was found in a critical condition. Sadly, nothing could be done to save him and he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
“The HGV driver was uninjured.”
Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage from the moments leading up to the incident to contact them.
