Man arrested after assault in Ombersley

A man was assaulted at a property on Appletree Walk earlier this month.

Police have arrested a man after an assault took place in Ombersley.

Around 2.30pm on Saturday the 14th of March, a man entered a property on Appletree Walk and assaulted the occupant. He then left the area.

A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is now on bail whilst enquiries continue.

Detective Sergeant Matthew Robinson said: “Following our appeal last week a man has now been arrested in connection with the assault in Ombersley."

“I understand that an incident such as this will have brought great concern to the local community of the village and I would like to reiterate that we believe this was an isolated incident and there was no wider risk to the public.”
