Malvern Hills council to open shelters ahead of freezing temperatures

Forecasters are warning temperatures could plummet over the next few days

Emergency night shelters are opening across the Malvern Hills tomorrow (25/11) to help people without homes stay safe as cold weather hits.

It's part of the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol, with forecasters warning temperatures could drop significantly.

The council say reports of homelessness can't be taken on social media, so it's important to get in touch with Streetlink if you see someone sleeping rough.

In a statement on X, Malvern Hills District Council confirmed: "The Severe Weather Emergency Protocol night shelters are open tomorrow, Tuesday 25 November, to keep people without homes safe during the cold weather that has been forecast."
