Investigation launched after man assaulted in Worcester

Officers report that two men, aged 22 and 32, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm

An investigation has been launched by West Mercia Police after a man was assaulted in Worcester on 19 July.

Officers report that two men, aged 22 and 32, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

They remain in custody.

The man who was assaulted is recovering following medical treatment. He was located on Goldsmith Road at around 4pm.

Detective Inspector Jordan Baker said: “This was a particularly harrowing incident, and we are aware of footage that is circulating which shows the attack.

"We would urge people not to share this footage, because of the impact it could have on this investigation but instead to contact police with any information they may have.
