Investigation continues after police car collides with Worcester Bridge

An investigation is continuing after a police car collided with Worcester Bridge.

The incident happened shortly before 8pm yesterday (March 3).

West Mercia Police say the officers involved were responding to an incident at the time of the collision.

The force have now confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the incident

No one was injured during the incident.

Efforts are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the collision.

The police force's Professional Standards Department have been notified.

One side of the bridge, going into the city, remains closed as the council and other partner agencies work to make the footpath and road safe for use.
