Hereford FC home games moved due to stadium pitch issues
Scarborough, Chester, and Darlington matches relocated with ticket refunds available
Hereford FC has announced that their upcoming home fixtures, including tonight's game against Darlington, have been relocated to alternative venues due to pitch issues at the MandM Edgar Street Stadium.
The match against Darlington tonight (17th February) will be played at Sixways Stadium, with a kick-off time of 7:45 pm.
Similarly, the game against Scarborough Athletic will take place on 21st February at Redditch United, starting at 3 pm. The Chester fixture will follow on 24th February, also at Sixways Stadium, with a 7:45 pm kick-off.
Redditch United has stepped in to host the Scarborough match at short notice due to Sixways Stadium being unavailable.
Tickets for both the Scarborough and Chester games will be available for purchase starting from 10 am on Wednesday, 19th February.
Season ticket holders who find themselves unable to attend these matches due to the changes will be eligible for a refund on a pro-rata basis, with additional details to be announced later in the week.
Jamie Griffiths, Hereford FC General Manager, addressed the situation, noting, “I share the frustrations of supporters that we are unable to play our home games at the MandM Edgar Street Stadium at this present moment in time. However, we are in a position where we need to have some certainty that our home games will take place as scheduled and playing these forthcoming fixtures away from Edgar Street gives us the best chance of those matches taking place."
Griffiths also mentioned the ongoing efforts to resolve pitch issues: “We hope that the recent works to the worst affected area of the pitch, and continued improvement works to the other areas of the pitch, will allow us to return to playing matches at the MandM Edgar Street Stadium as soon as possible. I’d like to thank everyone for their continued support and understanding during this frustrating period.”
